About Us - Values

Values

CAWOOD's 4 c's

Curious: A child’s curiosity is unbounded.  Our curiosity prompts us to listen, ask questions, think, ask why – or why not – and discover what makes a business and its customers tick.

Concentrate: The discipline of concentration produces breakthrough ideas – ideas that lead to the future our clients want.

Collaborate: Have you ever been on a team where you really clicked with your teammates? It was a real high and produced win after win. That’s what we achieve at CAWOOD.

Connect: Nothing happens until people connect, then everything happens.

About Us - Idea Box

Idea Box

the big idea

Our IDEA process connects clients with their customers and achieves specific, measurable results. It’s simple, proven, and powerful! Here’s how it works:

I-Investigate. This is where we become the discovery detectives. We’re fascinated with learning about you, your industry and your customers. No rock is unturned. No question is too silly. We just want as much information as we can get.

D-Deliberate. Now it’s time to think, brainstorm, discuss. We consider all the options for best meeting your objectives. We collaborate with you to explore options and solutions, so we can devise winning strategies.

E-Energize. Our creative approach flows from curiosity, listening, sharing—and working closely with our clients. It’s energizing – for all of us!

A-Act. We’ve hammered out a strategy and defined tactics to create the desired results. Sometimes, clients implement some of the plan; other times, we do it all. Whatever it takes to get the job done. That’s action CAWOOD-style.

calendar it!

Eugene School District 4J: School calendars help parents keep on top of key dates throughout the year. Yet reduced school funding had Eugene School District 4J considering dropping its annual calendar. CAWOOD suggested inviting area businesses to underwrite the cost of the calendar. For the past 7 years, CAWOOD has produced the calendar and secured funds for it. Goal achieved!

About Us - sustainable advantage

sustainable advantage

a sustainable brand

Sustainable Advantage: The University of Oregon's Sustainable Business Symposium wanted a strong brand. We coordinated research with some of the northwest’s top corporate decision makers to identify the market’s expectations. Now, the conference has a new name and a new look. Check it out in April every year: www.sustainableadvantagenw.com.

About Us - nature conservancy

we believe

Nature Conservancy: As part of our probono advertising services, we collaborated with the conservancy’s Oregon staff to create an “I believe in conservation” print campaign that ran in the Oregonian. Our goal was to increase awareness of the conservancy. It’s working!

their plate runneth over

FOOD for Lane County received a challenge from the Meyer Memorial Trust – double donations to its SCAN program and receive $75,000. We created a new “look” for the SCAN program and secured media placement at no cost to FFLC. We also energized clerks to promote the program. Some $160,000 was raised, exceeding the $150,000 campaign goal. For our efforts, the Oregon Food Bank presented CAWOOD with the prestigious Hunger Buster Award. Thank you – and keep scanning!

kids need teachers

Chalkboard: Our President Liz Cawood serves on a statewide committee focused on keeping highly qualified teachers, principals and superintendents in Oregon’s public schools. "Nothing is more important than giving our children the best possible education," Cawood said. "This committee wants to make sure that the professionals who work with our children have every chance for success." The Committee was formed as a result of work by the Chalkboard Project, which was launched in March 2004 to make Oregon’s K-12 public schools among the nation’s best. It is a collaborate effort led by five of Oregon’s largest charitable foundations. You GO, Liz!
